Stranger 12/100 - Pat on Flickr.Via Flickr:
Pat was a stranger opportunity I couldn’t pass up. He’s from Australia but in Auckland working in IT and was checking out the High St neighbourhood for the first time in a while. I have a knack for picking the out-of-towners - they often stand out as having a bit more style than some of us locals.
Thanks Pat, a nice pic - you’ve got my email if you want me to send you a copy…

New Zealand fisheyes - Star Trails on Flickr.
Via Flickr: A 90 minute star trail. Exposures at f/4, ISO 800, 25 seconds long and 2 seconds apart. The resulting 209 images were stacked together by StarStaX. It’s a free Mac app and was super-simple to use: just drag and drop the images onto the window and hit “process”.

5A timelapse sequence shot from the Hilton on Princes Wharf in Auckland, New Zealand. You can see the Oosterdam, a Holland America Line cruise ship, as she leaves Auckland on Saturday November 3, 2012. Some classic timelaps clouds here! I think the Canon EF 8-15mm f/4L Fisheye really helps the look.
